Water Supply Project

Residents of the Mr. Carmel area southeast of White Plains in Hopkins County have experienced a deterioration in the quality and quantity of their well water due to mining activities in the area. The Division of Abandoned Mine Lands agreed to fund a water project to restore adequate service to those households whose water supplies were affected. The project involves construction of a 50,000 gallon standpipe, a booster pumping station and over 6 miles of new water line.

Conn Road Bridge Replacement

Logan County has identified several bridges over the last few years that are in desperate need of replacement or repair. In 1999, the Logan County Fiscal Court sought and obtained the necessary funding for the replacement of the Conn Road Bridge. The Court hired McGhee Engineering, Inc. to design the new bridge, which crosses the Red River in the County's vital agriculture heartland. The bridge was constructed at the same location of the old bridge and construction was complete in 2000.

Beechland Area Water Line Extensions

The East Logan Water District hired McGhee Engineering to provide engineering services for their 2000 Beechland Area Water Line Extensions Project. McGhee Engineering served as design engineer and provided construction administration services for the project. The project involves approximately 4 miles of 3" and 4" water line covering a large portion of Lester McReynolds Road in rural Logan County. The project will serve approximately 17 new customers.
